The temperature of the shrink chuck is continuously detected during the inductive heating process by an integrated pyrometer. Once the shrink chuck is at the predefined temperature, the heating process will end automatically. Shrinking is easy and the tool holders will never overheat. This considerably simplifies the shrink operation since the units work independent from unflexible fixed shrink parameters. Several thousand precise shrinking processes with a single shrink fit holder are possible without any changes to the material, the surface hardness of the holder, clamping force or runout of the bore. This protection will save user's money.
